The food is phenomenal, no doubt about it. The portions are sizeable to say the least, but still at a reasonable price. This is a place where you can find quality meals that are absolutely delicious! One thing that bothered us was the fact that it was quite hot on the terrace. We were assigned a table there, and we didn't expect it to be so hot in the semi enclosed terrace (we were told the AC was broken). Service was also not outstanding, but still up to par.

This is the best štrukli you will ever have in your life—in fact, it was so delicious that I got it twice in one sitting. The truffle one is the most popular savory option and the blueberry one is the most popular sweet option. I also had a yogurt drink which paired very well with this traditional classic Croatian dish. The vibes here were cozy (inside seating) and perfect for solo travelers who need some comfort food on a cold/rainy day or after an emotional visit to the Museum of Broken Relationships. If you’re not going alone though, then definitely make a reservation!

We ate two times at La Štruk and we loved both of them! The service is very friendly, polite and professional! The dry white wine is exceptional and not so dry. We had the salty cheese The truffle paste and the roasted paper, which was a little bit spicy. And of course they are pet friendly inside and outside !

I’m just so happy that restaurants in Zagreb finally started taking dietary restrictions into account for us who can’t eat gluten etc. This is the first time that I had sushi since my celiac disease diagnosis, and it was good sushi at that. On top of that our waitress was really nice and professional (blonde ponytail girl). Vibes were okay, probably better on Saturdays, ambiance is nice and we had good wine even though we wanted margaritas but they said they can’t make them.

Beautiful restaurant, apetizers were good, but the steak and sushi were mediocre and a little bit bland. Also, we had to wait for a long time for our food to come out, although there were only a few tables occupied.

Lovely Spot for a Refreshing Break in Zagreb! Arrived in Zagreb today on a very hot day, and the first thing we wanted was some refreshment—so we stopped at this beautiful establishment. I ordered a Gin and Tonic. They didn’t have my favorite gin, but the staff recommended a great substitute, and I was not disappointed. The drink was served in an amazing glass, which added a nice touch. Our table was a bit wobbly at first, but the waitress immediately offered to fix it—and she did, with a smile. Great service! My kids also had their drinks and brought sushi with them, which the staff kindly allowed. That kind of flexibility is rare and definitely worth mentioning. We had a great experience overall and will definitely be coming back!

Overall a great place with a great menu, tasty food, decent service, and a great atmosphere. Very well shaded outdoor section and stylish interior. Food was good, but the Soba noodles with duck, while very tasty, was a bit too salty. They should significantly reduce the sodium content, perhaps by cutting the amount of soy sauce they use by 75% and allow the customer to add soy sauce as they like, since it is already on the table. It was very salty, but still good. The chicken salad was very good. The chicken spring rolls were much more like chicken croquettes with minced meat and breadcrumbs, not with the usual crispy / crunchy spring roll dough you might find at a more traditional Asian restaurant. They tasted ok, but they really aren’t “spring rolls”. I would suggest renaming this dish as “Asian chicken croquettes”. The crispy tuna roll was good, but rather small (4 pieces) and also not very crispy. The atmosphere and music was really great and our waiter was kind. A bit expensive compared with other nearby restaurants, but overall a nice experience. I would definitely go back, but I would order differently.

The only Austrian (so far!) restaurant in Zagreb that offers many authentic meals. The portions are fairly large, and the food is great. We tried the soup, meat meals, and the vegetarian options. The service is at times slowish, but not terrible. The food and the atmosphere make up for it.

I have been visiting this restaurant for a long time and the food and service are always of top quality. Extremely friendly stuff. In my personal opinion, this is the best price-quality ratio you can get in the city. The quality of the meat is extraordinary, always fresh and tender. Today I was convinced that the tuna itself is the best I have ever tasted, so juicy and delicious. I think you can't go wrong with any dish from their menu at this place and always if the staff offers you what they currently have on the menu, accept it because it is always recommendations for the best option on that day 🙂

If you want the most authentic experience you can get of Croatian cuisine but don’t have a Croatian Grandma, come here. You know it’s good because the locals come all the time and it is always booked in advance. It’s close enough to the touristic attractions that it is the perfect way to end a busy day exploring but also slightly hidden away from the tourist masses in a quiet corner. You will truly feel like a local. Not least because the staff are so nice and welcoming. Thank you especially to Rocko! I will miss the food every day till I return. In particular, Didova Tava and the traditional savoury doughnuts with soft cheese. The food was all freshly prepared from scratch with no corners being cut in the loving labour of preparing the food. You can truly taste the effort. The menu blends Balkan comforts with influences from cuisine close to the Italian border.

Lovely place, lovely staff. EXCEPTIONALLY LOVLY STAFF, we felt right at home. Maybe expectations were too high, and even tough we wouldn’t were to high, we expected a lot more. We ordered the traditional doughnuts with soft cheese and the braised beef with gnocchi. The former was okay, a little greasy, but the local cheese was delightful, the latter was a little bit disappointing. The beef and its gravy were flavorful, heartwarming and homey. Nevertheless, the gnocchi was bland and almost flavorless, maybe, just maybe, this is the way it’s supposed to be, and our Latin American taste buds wouldn’t know better. We recommend this place, specially because of the amazing service :))

We chose Rustica to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. None of the 20 of us had any complaints, not one! Very satisfied with the organization, service and food, even the coffee is fantastic! Mrs. Jasmina was our perfect hostess, polite, patient and extremely nice. Really, regardless of whether you are going to lunch with your partner, to a business meeting or you want to celebrate a special day - Rustica is an excellent choice because the manager Davor is also extremely accommodating. And I will definitely be back there to try something else on the menu very soon. You do the same!

Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the Spanish-speaking blond waitress was very welcoming and attentive. We had chicken, squid, mushrooms and grilled vegetables, all very good. I like the chicken dish best, with cheese 🧀 and bacon 🥓 in the middle. There are singers on Friday nights, and the atmosphere is great. The only downside was that the male waiter who served us at the beginning was very rude and slow. We ordered a glass of wine but it didn't come for half an hour, which was very European.

Super tasty food and really friendly staff. The portions are generous, so prepare yourself! If we could put a billion stars instead of 5/5 we would! Excellent original and classic cocktails and mocktails/non-alcoholic cocktails (which is rare to find in the city, especially with 0% spirits). As a sober person, I didn't feel excluded one minute. Every drink was truly special! We even had the pleasure of discovering a sausage infused one 😁 But also, incredible, if not one of the best services we've ever received. The waitress was super friendly without being overbearing and extremely attentive. She gave great advices and notes about our drinks and we were very impressed with how professional and efficient she was for her age. The mixologist was also very helpful and kind. In conclusion : don't go to this bar, RUN to this bar. You will have the best drink of your life in a super relaxed and cosy environment.

We had an amazing brunch at Balance Brunch & Bakery. Unfortunately it is quite far from the city centre but it was well worth the walk to it. The service and the brunch were great. We had the scramble eggs and salmon and the dish was amazing. A lot of salmon, the eggs were cooked to perfection. The brunch was so good that we decided to try their Almond Croissant and it was one of the nicest I’ve ever had (and I love to eat them wherever I go😅) it was not too sugary, it was perfect. They were also very quick to serve the food and to clear our table. I recommend.

We were not very hungry so we simply ordered 2 main to share. Food wise is good enough but not as awesome as what we had read in the review but we like the service. They gentleman asked if we are sharing our food so gladly gave us sharing plates even we didn’t order much. We also appreciate that we are allow to sit on a table for 4 pax which I is comfortable. The lemonade we ordered was made with squeezing lemon and mixed with water so nothing fabulous, do skip and order mineral water instead.

For a restaurant with such a big menu in a touristy area, I was expecting the food to just be average but I was pleasantly surprised. Being new to Croatia, we wanted to try some of their local dishes so we ordered the black risotto and local gnocchi dish. The black risotto was striking to look at with its cuttlefish ink, and there were pieces of tiny seafood within it. It had a mild seafood risotto flavour and not too fishy. As for the gnocchi dish, the gnocchi tasted fresh and pillowy and the sauce had a nice tomato/bacon like flavour. I would say that there probably are better versions and possibly more authentic versions of both dishes but for someone trying these dishes for the first time, it still tasted really good and they were also quite good value for money at around €11 per dish. The restaurant also had a nice atmosphere and the service was very good.
