This place was tucked away inside of a neighborhood. Our last meal out before returning to the states. The food was great. I ordered the Riley medium well. It came with fries, I also ordered what I thiught was a side of mixed vegetables. I received a bowl, they were so good. The wife ordered the steak pasta with black truffles. It looked very good, she was pleased with her meal. We had a bottle of Korlat syrah wine to complement the meal.

Unexpected, more than satisfying experience overall. It did start with a deer carpaccio that was excellent, only burdened with too many add-ons. Shame, because when all of the extras were removed, the meat itself was blissful. However, lamb in Parmesan cheese and with spinach puree was just right. Winevise, if you order by the glass, you can expect a good pour and fresh wine. Also, instead as an aperitif, house made Botanist liquer proved itself even better as a digestive. Cheers!

We used to go there for years. Now it is much expensive, without live muzic, they took all the food from table while serving deserts, you must leave at midnight.

Excellent pizzas 🤌🏻 And the local Croatian wine (Plavac Mali) was a great combination with the pizza. Also very reasonably priced, considering very high quality food.

We had "Pistacchio e mortadella" and "Prosuttienko" pizzas. They were very good, rich with high quality ingredients, but the dough was not up to expectations - it wasn't crispy at all and was instead a squishy texture. Still, it is the closest to a proper napoletana that I've tried in Zagreb and was overall good. However I'd expect better for the price, as our pizzas were over 13 EUR each. Everything is in general expensive, especially drinks. Service was ok, parking is a problem as it's always full and you have to be pretty lucky to find a spot right next to the restaurant. There is freely available parking not far away though if you don't mind walking a few min.

We were excited to enjoy a meal here, but when we arrived with our small, well-behaved dog, we were informed that dogs are not allowed inside. In this day and age, many restaurants welcome pets. The lack of flexibility and understanding was frustrating. If you're a pet owner, this is definitely not a place for you. I won't be returning anytime soon.

For Valentine's Day, my boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant, attracted by the beautifully decorated space and numerous sponsored posts on social media. The ambiance is really pleasant - the evening was accompanied by jazz music, the atmosphere was intimate and private, which created a nice atmosphere for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the impression of the food did not match the good ambiance. There were set menus on offer (fish, meat (and we opted for fish. The final bill was €160, which was an additional disappointment considering the quality. The appetizer had a very neutral taste, without spices, with rather large pieces of cuttlefish that were difficult to enjoy. The main course – swordfish – was dry and without a pronounced taste, served with a few pieces of carrot, without the impression of a rounded or well-thought-out combination. The dessert seemed like a store-bought cake, without the special taste or final impression that you would expect for an evening like this. Given the price and the impression created through the promotion, expectations were significantly higher. The space is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is pleasant, but the quality of the food, at least in our case, did not justify the price. I am writing this review to give a realistic picture of the experience, because I believe that with this kind of marketing it is important for guests to know what to expect.

We came on a busy Saturday afternoon without a reservation and were kindly and promptly offered a place in the closed terrace area. The service was great, the food perfect, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is extremely pleasant! Do not worry if you notice a full parking lot in front of the restaurant, some 20 m ahead along the road and then on the right they have another huge parking lot! Looking forward to come back again.

Tried this restaurant recently. Food was tasty, portions were big, and they've got a kids' room, which is cool. Service was quick, but folks smoking on the terrace was a downer. There was no free non-smoking table inside the restaurant, which was a bit of a downside. Overall, it wasn't bad.

Traditional Croatian “ konoba “, with fresh only Adriatic sea fish and Croatian wines. Rather expensive but worth every cent. Service is fast, waiters have a big knowlege about wines and fresh food. One of the best fresh fish restaurants in region. Reservation for lunch by phone is recomended.

This is, in a way, a hidden gem. It's surely not close to the city centre, but every time I visit, the selection of fish is great and the service amazing, making sure that you come back. I have always liked Batak and often visit their location in Pula, so it felt right to stop by while in Zagreb. What I appreciate most is the consistency. You can always count on quality, solid execution, and a professional staff that knows what they are doing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, modern but still cozy. I usually go for the cevapcici with kajmak, which are good, though they could use a bit more depth. The mazalice are phenomenal, juicy and full of flavor. Their potatoes are excellent across the board, from sweet potato fries to regular fries, and especially the loaded ones with cheese and bacon. The lepinja is also available, and it rounds out the meal perfectly. A dependable grill where you know you will eat well and leave satisfied every time.

DELICIOUS! I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about the stew. It was the highlight of the meal. It was served with bread. Another highlight was the potatoes with cheese and bacon. The warm brownie with ice cream was the perfect end to the night. Definitely order those three things if you come here. Also, the service was exceptional. We got our food very quickly, maybe 10-15 minutes.

One of the most unique and decorated Batak restaraunt in my opinion. Staff was welcoming, kind and seated us fast. Food came out quick and we had a great time. The meat was also great and the desserts too! Prices are excellent in comparison of the quality. Only one small resentment I have is that the Beef tartare could have been a little bit more seasoned. All in all, recommended.

Very helpful and kind staff. They helped us with the baby seat and reservation over the phone. The menu is mostly comprised of local homemade meals with a bit of (very good) experimentation. You can taste real Croatian cuisine here. In the front there is a parking for the guests, and they also have a terrace.
