Restaurant Krug in Split, a truly outstanding experience One of the best, if not the best restaurant in Croatia. The space is minimalist yet perfectly styled, every detail feels intentional. The team - professional, attentive but never intrusive, radiating great energy. And the food… simply a story on its own. Each dish is brilliantly crafted, balanced, and executed to perfection. A special highlight was the wine flight, which followed the menu flawlessly and elevated the whole experience. I feel bad giving a 4-star review, because 7 out of the 9 dishes were amazing — some more than others, but all truly impressive. Unfortunately, the two mains (cod and the steak) were just far too salty. So salty, in fact, that I couldn’t taste anything else, which was a real shame considering the ingredients were clearly of the highest quality. I appreciate all sorts of combinations when it comes to food, but I firmly believe that the ingredients should speak for themselves, and not the seasoning. Appetizers were out of this world. I would skip the wine pairing — at €90 for 4 glasses, it simply isn’t justifiable. On the other hand, the non-alcoholic pairing was fantastic. The atmosphere and staff were wonderful — I’d describe it as “France meets Japan” when ti comes to the design of the restaurant, and the vibe was unpretentious (which we really appreciate). Plating and presentation were spectacular — a true 10/10. Had the two mains not been so overly salted, it would have been a perfect 9-course meal. It’s more than just dinner — it’s a full experience, and we had a beautiful time overall. I do highly recommend it.

We'd visited for coffee and cocktails on previous occasions and decided to try a late lunch this time. Both dishes were wonderful and came out from the kitchen piping hot, which is always appreciated and especially when dining al fresco on a cooler day. The service was great, attentive and knowledgeable. Extra care was taken to confirm my nut allergy could be accommodated.

We are here in October the food was lovely we all ordered pizzas very reasonably prices large menu and lots of options. Staff were super friendly. We sat inside and the interior was beautiful especially the outdoor seating if it was less windy. Even offered a takeaway box as we didn’t finish the whole pizza.

Excellent local food worth the little walk uphill from the Riva area. Had the Fish plate starter with anchovies and tuna, grilled sea bream and rump steak with Plavac wine and lime soda. The food was well prepared and delicious and the wait staff were most friendly even when they were a little rushed from the tour group that was present.

I do not remember when was the last time I came somewhere and stood speechless. Everything is tidy, clean, OCD heaven, all workers so kind and friendly, and order comes fast and with high quality. Thank you LAF! for showing that it is possible to get perfect servise with normal price range. Since I came here for the first time last summer, I always go here to eat. It serves vegan meals as well

Saw a bunch of locals eating here. Got the veal platter which had a good variety of food that tasted so authentic, your baka would be proud. The gnocchi beef was incredible too nicely paired with some cherry liquor. Thanks again for such an amazing lunch 🙏

Great little local restaurant to stop in for a snack or a full meal. It was about a 20 min casual walk from our boat dock. The menu changes daily and the appetizer and entree portions were large. We had the highlighted items from the pictured menu and it was all absolutely delicious. Our server was kind, professional, and patient. Picture cards are presented to assist in your order. We thought this was a smart idea to help those who don’t know the local fare or language. Very happy we stumbled upon such a quaint place, tucked away inside a “food court.”

What a great place! Nearly everywhere closed for food as it was late and off season but Baza was not only open but really chilled vibe, friendly, and food was amazing. Spring rolls were the best any of us remember having and every dish was beautifully presented and lovely flavours. Highly recommend!

We visited Baza in Split last night and were absolutely impressed! What truly surprised us in the best way was their extensive selection of biodynamic wines, made with natural yeasts and without additives. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding – everything tasted fresh and beautifully prepared. It’s rare to find such a thoughtful wine list in Split, especially with so many vegetarian-friendly options on the menu. This place is a real gem for anyone looking for exceptional food, great service and a unique, conscious dining experience. Highly recommended!

The linguine with adriatic mussels were incredible, cooked to perfection and all the pasta here is homemade! The mussels were fresh and tasted amazing, the sauce was light with a hint of parsley which was perfect. The atmosphere right by the coast with the water and palm trees was amazing too, a truly amazing restaurant that also cares about their ingredients and vibes. The food came fairly fast (20mins max) and the service was on point. Definitely recommend!

The truffle shrimp macaroni was delicious, and the garlic bread with olive oil and balsamic was amazing. Wish we were in town longer, we would’ve eaten here multiple times!

I had fries with truffle sauce and old house burger. When I was passing by the restaurant, the smell pulled me in. So I naturally went inside and ordered a burger. It was a big portion and tasted amazing! The patty was super juicy, and the fries were full of truffle flavor. I was so satisfied with my dinner :)

Not a quality meat whatsoever, weird tasting burger for over 10 euro a piece without fries... Costs extra for ketchup, which is necessary to eat this burger. Not impressed whatsoever, non friendly staff, no bathrooms for paying customers. Go elsewhere. 4 stools inside for seating, otherwise, it's a To-Go kinda place

Delicious lunch in a very cool quiet corner in the Old town. It was not crowded, and pleasantly quiet. Our waiter was super polite and generous. Very welcoming guy. The pasta with Dalmatia sauce, lovely delicious tomato sauce. This was the best Arabiata pomodoro sauce I ever had! Absolutely recommend!

We had two breakfast while we were staying in the hotel nearby with beautiful background music played by a street musician. This place is just next to the historical place so it is quite busy around but peaceful at the same time somehow. I highly recommend Omlet here and the latte was very good as well. And the old man waiter was so nice and professional👏

We stopped to have dinner at Konoba Kastilac. This was our last night in Croatia and I have been sick for the past 4 days with a bad cold. Nothing has been tasting right and nothing sounded good as we walked past several restaurants. The hostess standing next to the menu sign was so sweet and nice that we decided to give this place a try. The view was also breathtaking and added to the peaceful atmosphere. To my wonderful surprise, they had chicken soup on the menu. It was the best chicken soup since I’ve had in a long time. It brought me right back to my childhood and the soups my family made on the farm. I knew it was going to be great as soon as I saw the broth glistening with bright little fat circles. The broth was exactly what i needed. I would have eaten a whole pot if I could. My husband had pasta, which he enjoyed as well, but we both agreed that the soup was delicious! The service was excellent. Even though I was not well, this place made us very happy for our last night there.

This is a restoran with pride in what they do. The location is probably the best in all of Kaštela, all the way down by the waterfront. I've eaten there 3 times. First and second was mix grill. And that was really good. Everything tasted fresh and tasy. They had some sausage on the platter and that was just insane. Prices are resonable. First time i ate alone and paid 27euro for mix grill, 2 x 0.5L beers and a 1L bottle of carbonated water. 3rd time we had a mixed seafood serving, where everything was grilled and we where surprised. Even when the bill came, 76 euro we didn't bother much. The food was truly great, we had alcohol with the food and palećinka for dessert and the atmosphere is awesome.

Interesting restaurant, very nicely decorated. It was winter so we couldn't sit in the garden, but I can imagine it must be great sitting outdoors in spring or autumn. They have a DJ and music during brunch hours Saturdays and Sundays. Service is excellent, fast and friendly. The chef comes from Spain, but a lot of the dishes are very Dalmatian. We went for lunch, but the timing was such that we could also pick from the brunch menu - both menus have a great mix of different options, so everyone can find something. I had the veal risotto, and it was absolutely delicious. The deserts were the highlight of our meal, and all were excellent. All in all, a very good experience, would recommend.

Our favorite meal in Split. Each course was excellent, the service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great. The kitchen sent us a special dish, which was an awesome touch. And compared to many other places in Split, very reasonably priced for gourmet food. Additionally, very accommodating of my gluten allergy!

We walked all of Kaštel seafront before returning to this restaurant; a great choice. A really friendly, attentive waitress Evana, recommended the menu of the day off the board: the veal was beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. The cod stew was oozing flavours. We loved both. At only 70 Kuna each, we were delighted. Highly recommended.

Nice terrace location by the water.  Excellent, attentive and friendly service. We both had the Goulash which was really very good.  Plenty of tender meat and went perfectly with the garlic and cheese bread which again was very tasty.  Lovely comfort food. House white very drinkable and available in 1/2 carafe nice cold Large beer. Excellent value at €36.20. Certainly recommend.
