We were from Hungary. First time we didn't get nothing from this place, we waited then rather went away. Second time we went there we got seat but we waited too long to he asked what we drink. Then we got our drinks and then almost immediately got the bill too. Like why? And we looked around, nobody got bill. One, then another girl came after us, they immediately got service and no bill. 1 star because otherwise I can't comment. And maybe 1 star because the drinks were good. But they didn't know what lemonade is (just like the whole country). We won't go back again, but it's okay, we can spend our money somewhere else too.

We stopped to have dinner at Konoba Kastilac. This was our last night in Croatia and I have been sick for the past 4 days with a bad cold. Nothing has been tasting right and nothing sounded good as we walked past several restaurants. The hostess standing next to the menu sign was so sweet and nice that we decided to give this place a try. The view was also breathtaking and added to the peaceful atmosphere. To my wonderful surprise, they had chicken soup on the menu. It was the best chicken soup since I’ve had in a long time. It brought me right back to my childhood and the soups my family made on the farm. I knew it was going to be great as soon as I saw the broth glistening with bright little fat circles. The broth was exactly what i needed. I would have eaten a whole pot if I could. My husband had pasta, which he enjoyed as well, but we both agreed that the soup was delicious! The service was excellent. Even though I was not well, this place made us very happy for our last night there.

This is a restoran with pride in what they do. The location is probably the best in all of Kaštela, all the way down by the waterfront. I've eaten there 3 times. First and second was mix grill. And that was really good. Everything tasted fresh and tasy. They had some sausage on the platter and that was just insane. Prices are resonable. First time i ate alone and paid 27euro for mix grill, 2 x 0.5L beers and a 1L bottle of carbonated water. 3rd time we had a mixed seafood serving, where everything was grilled and we where surprised. Even when the bill came, 76 euro we didn't bother much. The food was truly great, we had alcohol with the food and palećinka for dessert and the atmosphere is awesome.

We walked all of Kaštel seafront before returning to this restaurant; a great choice. A really friendly, attentive waitress Evana, recommended the menu of the day off the board: the veal was beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. The cod stew was oozing flavours. We loved both. At only 70 Kuna each, we were delighted. Highly recommended.

Nice terrace location by the water.  Excellent, attentive and friendly service. We both had the Goulash which was really very good.  Plenty of tender meat and went perfectly with the garlic and cheese bread which again was very tasty.  Lovely comfort food. House white very drinkable and available in 1/2 carafe nice cold Large beer. Excellent value at €36.20. Certainly recommend.

Delicious pizza with a perfect crispy crust and amazing toppings. I really liked that you can customize your pizza by adding extra toppings. We were a group of seven, all had food and drinks, and even ordered an extra round. The total bill came to just 113€. A special shout-out to our waitress, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. She made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Highly recommended.

We chose Baletna Škola in Kaštela based on its many positive reviews, and the setting certainly lived up to expectations. The location is beautiful and serene, with the option to dine outdoors next to a lovely park area that stretches between the restaurant and the sea. The ambiance was one of the highlights—peaceful and inviting. The menu is extensive—at 15 pages, it felt a bit overwhelming and perhaps overly ambitious. While this provides a wide range of choices, it may come at the cost of consistency in execution. Prices are slightly above the local average, yet the restaurant was still frequented by many locals during our visit, which is often a good sign. Interestingly, there were very few tourists, which added to the authenticity of the experience. Service was average—not unfriendly, but it could have been more attentive and efficient, especially given the restaurant’s reputation and price point. As for the food, it was overall fine, but it didn’t quite meet the high expectations we had. The shrimp, pasta, and chicken dishes we tried were decent, though none stood out as particularly memorable. The highlight of the meal was the grilled vegetables, which were truly excellent. It's possible we simply didn’t choose the dishes that best represent the kitchen’s strengths. That said, with a menu this large, the expectation is that every dish offered should meet a certain standard of quality, especially in a restaurant with such strong reviews. Unfortunately, we also experienced some mild stomach discomfort after the meal. We truly hope it was unrelated to this restaurant, but felt it was worth mentioning in the context of a balanced review.

I came here with my parents cause of other people opinion. We didn't regret it. Spaghetti with smoked salmon and shrimps was awesome, handmade pasta made it even better. Plate of seafood was big and tasty, the only "bad" thing was that we needed to order fries (or oder extras), cause they are not included in the dish. Service was kind and helpful, we will definitely come back for the dessert.

Odmor Grill was a fantastic find and quickly became one of our favorite stops during our stay in Croatia. The restaurant features a charming outdoor terrace covered with a beautiful leafy canopy, providing a relaxing and shaded atmosphere that adds to the overall dining experience. The service was outstanding—fast, efficient, and delivered with a genuinely warm smile. It’s clear that the staff take pride in their work, which made us feel truly welcomed. The menu is just the right size—not overwhelming, but with enough variety to satisfy different tastes. We especially appreciated the quality of the food. The ćevapčići were delicious, but the real highlight was the potatoes and sauces—easily the best we've tasted in Croatia. It’s also worth noting that the place seems to be popular with locals, which we always see as a great sign. Despite that, it wasn’t crowded with tourists, making it feel like a hidden gem. Clean and well-maintained restrooms, reasonable prices, and a great overall vibe round out the experience. We highly recommend Odmor Grill to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable meal!

First night in Croatia, came to dinner here and had the most AMAZING meal. Service was incredible. Food was SUPERB. The manager catered to our table personally and explained every dish and gave the most expert recommendations. Tuna steak was perfectly flavored and cooked. Would definitely return on every trip here. Cannot recommend enough.

The food was decent but from a place with a 4.9 we expected much more. The fish soup was tasty but more like a bouillon as there was almost no fish in it. Similar for the fish plate that was very decent but we’ve tasted better fish (especially tuna) across split. Service was incredibly nice and view was pretty.

This is an amazing family-owned restaurant. The food is wonderful. Try the beefsteak or white fish and their own olive oil with bread. The location is so pretty and peaceful in an olive grove on the mountain. Have been here multiple times over the past 2 years and always love to take guests here when they are visiting in town.

I recently stopped by PVBLICA Pub on our way to Split Airport, and I was thoroughly impressed. As a self-proclaimed service critic, I'm hard to wow, but the server at PVBLICA exceeded my expectations. We arrived early for our flight and decided to spend some time enjoying the seaside views. PVBLICA's outdoor seating area offered the perfect spot to relax and take in the sights. The service was exceptional - friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. We enjoyed a few drinks and ordered some fries, which were perfectly cooked. The real highlight was the take-away pizza we ordered for our flight - it was a great decision!The combination of great food, drinks, and stunning views makes it an ideal spot to unwind before your flight if you are driving.

The last half year I've been in Croatia 4 times, and every time i go here i go to this restaurant, some times for breakfast or lunch or just for drinks. The boss is a really nice person and is always polite. They also have Guinness😁
