We were looking for another restaurant near this place but everything was closed early in the afternoon. So we made a turn and it was a right turn. We were a group of 6 people with so much demands but the waitress was really nice and when she brought the food we were positively surprised how big the portion were. All that for a very reasonable prices. It is true that we came out of the season but we were more than pleased at the place. Fresh vegetables, tasty pizzas, fresh fish and for the closure... a shot of rakia on the house! We will be back! :)

Celiac friendly. While this restaurant is touted as having gluten free options, after eating here a couple of times we weren’t completely confident about the waiters’ knowledge and ability to respond to questions about potential for cross-contamination. While we wouldn’t advise against going, keep in mind that you may need to be persistent with your questions. The waiters were, however, friendly and attentive. My wife, who is celiac, chose the pasta carbonara on both occasions which she described as ‘good’ meaning not really something to write home about. I chose the black risotto. I found it overly fishy in flavour and quite heavy but bear in mind that I’ve not had such a risotto before so this may be typical of such a dish. Nevertheless, other risottos I’ve had in the past have been lighter and more delicate. For our second time here, I had a pepperoni pizza which was boring and average. So, in the end, we wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re a celiac and haven’t the time to find somewhere else.

We enjoyed their gnocchi with truffles and gnocchi with meat sauce as well as the house carafe of red wine. The staff was very friendly and offered us a digestivo after our meal. While not in the center of Rovinj it was a short walk from our hotel and enjoyed the outdoor dining.

The queue in front of this restaurant is always frustratingly long — and for a good reason! Despite the crowd, we were seated within 10 minutes and served great food in less then 15. Everything was surprisingly tasty, portions were generous and prices even more so.

Very good restaurant delicious food. I ordered a tuna medium rare steak that goes well, IMO, with Coca-Cola. They serve everythung without spices so you can season it to your tase like (e.g. salt, pepper, olive oil and aceto balzamico). I had my favorite dessert: the soufflé.

One of the best restaurants I've visited in Croatia. The food is great, incl. pizza, fish, grill dishes and pasta. The ham is homemade, the house wine is great and is cheap. One of the few almost instinct places serving cold draft beer in a thin glass. We have visited the place several times and were not able to find a dish, which is not delicious. And finally the view. It's amazing. You see the sea, Rovinj, the food is great. Don't miss it, experience yourself.

The salmon steak with mangold was excellent, staff very friendly and accommodating! However, the potatoes that came with the pork were VERY tough and it felt like they had been reheated a few times already - very disappointing given the actual cost of simple potatoes… ☹️

We wanted a pasta that was not on the menu and they made it happen. One of the best pasta dishes I have ever had (tagliatelle with shrimps and truffle). Many thanks to Christian and his colleagues, who provided an excellent and genuine service (which is refreshing for such a touristic spot). PS: the cappuccino is worth the detour as well.

We had an incredible seafood experience at Orca Restaurant in Rovinj! The highlight of our meal was this beautiful, fresh seafood platter a generous mix of mussels, clams, and cockles, all perfectly cooked in a light garlic herb sauce. Every bite tasted like the Adriatic: clean, briny, and full of flavor. It’s clear the kitchen takes great pride in sourcing and presenting local ingredients. We especially appreciated the simplicity of the dish, which allowed the freshness of the seafood to take center stage. The ambiance was relaxed and friendly, and the staff made us feel right at home. Combined with a chilled glass of white wine, this was easily one of our favorite meals in Rovinj.

This is an amazing restaurant, from the first moment they all seemed to want us to have a great meal. There were some nice touches, like a box to keep the wife’s handbag clean and off the floor, they all seemed happy and knowledgeable. Then the food and wine was awesome too so it was well worth the visit.

The food was tasty and freshly prepared. However, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not right: for the high price, the portions are very small and the side dishes are quite limited. We would have expected more generosity here. Unfortunately, you don’t really get full. For this reason, we cannot recommend the restaurant and will not be coming back!

This place was recommended to us by a local. We really enjoyed it! I got the beefsteak with truffle sauce and pasta, which was amazing, and my husband got the grill plate with fries. We were both satisfied with our meals! The portions were also very large and satisfying. I would recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and relaxed, thanks in large part to our server, Ivan. With over 20 years of experience, Ivan was a true professional—friendly, knowledgeable, and never overbearing. He expertly deboned and portioned our oven-baked whole sea bass right at the table, turning the meal into a performance of culinary finesse. The fish was perfectly cooked, delicate and flavorful, and paired beautifully with the crisp white wine Ivan recommended. We also tried the Italian meatballs, seafood pasta, and pumpkin soup—all of which were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Each dish had its own character, and the ingredients tasted fresh and well-balanced. The seafood pasta, in particular, was rich and satisfying without being heavy. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and service, combined with the unbeatable view of the Adriatic Sea, make it well worth it. Watching the boats drift by as we dined added a magical touch to the evening. Highly recommend Riva Bistro for anyone looking for a refined yet relaxed dining experience in Rovinj.

Had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant, with pumpkin soup, octopus salad, meatball, seafood pasta and a baked sea bass with grilled veggies. All food are freshly made and very delicious, the staff/manager, Ivan, served us very warmly and kindly, and with patience With a wonderful white wine recommended by Ivan, the enjoyment was elevated.

Great location for dinner with a sunset view over Rovinj! Staff are really friendly and always trying to go above and beyond. We went there twice in one week, both times with a large group of people. We were walking past the seafront boat repair yard last year when Liza heard party noises; and that is how we found this restaurant. It was a Friday late afternoon and the place was buzzing. We made a note to give it ago. We came for lunch on a quiet Thursday. The restaurant is wedged in between the junction of two roads but road noise not an issue. There is a definite drinking area at the entrance with a large indoor seating area plus more table outside to side and rear. Some of the customers appeared to be having drinks so I expect this is fine; especially at quieter times. The bbq was being fired up for roast pig but not served til 7.30pm. We took an outside table and had a carafe of wine.0.5l for 6.40€. plus a fizzy water. Madge and Paulicarus ordered a pork schnitzel with fries for 12€. Norma and Liza a stuffed garlic and cheese pork fillet with wedges for 20€. We also had peas as a side dish for 5€. All was good and portions large. We travel with doggie bags and took lots home. Nice clean facilities. Efficient service. Great value.

Nice Restaurant close to Biondi Beach, easy to reach. Quick Service, good food and price level still very affordable considering Rovinj Area. I did eat the Oktopus salad, Čevapčiči, a Istria Pizza and the filled Pleškavića. All food was well done, portions quite big (a lot of french fries). The place also offers fresh roast pork. Good mix of local people and tourists. I can recommand the place, would go there again.

Really nice restaurant with perfectly tasting local food for a really fair price. You get a big range of food options and for us especially the pasta, sea food and meat dishes were absolutely wonderful. The portion sizes are big enough and you will definitely not leave hungry. I can definitely recommend the sea food platter for 2 as well as the cevapcici. The atmosphere is cosy and homelike, the waiters are really friendly and funny. Perfect experience of Croatian cuisine!

What a great place with great food and ambience. I had the octopus salad with the mussels. The mussels were amazing! The bread is made of pizza dough, so I had to stop myself from eating the 4 pieces! House wine (white of course in Croatia) is great, don't spend on a more expensive option. As I tend to eat around 13:00, the places are usually not very busy so don't judge the restaurant by the video (where I am barely the only one)!!!
