I qnd my wife recently visited Old Barn Steak House Samobor and was absolutely blown away. This place is a true gem, especially if you're a fan of grilled meats. Their selection is fantastic, and every cut I tried was cooked to perfection. Beyond the amazing meat, the variety of warm salads and soups was a pleasant surprise. They were the perfect complement to the main course. And for dessert, the Brownie was the ideal finish to an incredible meal. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was top-notch, and it's clear the staff is passionate about what they do. I can't recommend this place enough—it's a must-visit for any meat lover! I will definitely be back.

Great food and service. We will definitely come again on our next visit to Samobor. The one thing I missed when selecting a table with the family, is that the outside dining area allows smocking, which I will know to avoid next time. Also - Note that tips cant be added by card, so get some cash with you when you come (if you want to of course).

An AMAZING restaurant with food that leaves you wanting more. The roast veal had the texture of chicken, thats how soft it was. I was even scraping for the oil and sauce. Mislav is very friendly and good person. He treat us very well. We definitely visit this restaurant again when we travel to Samobor again. The atmosphere feel so warm and cozy with beautiful Christmas decorations which is perfect for this winter season.

Great restaurant on the main road Zagreb - Samobor. Plenty of parking lots. Delicious grilled food. A lot of seats in the shadow of trees in the backyard. Kids playground. Great service. Make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends.

Good food but service could be better. I visited Bistro Nino in May 2024 with the intention of ordering takeout. I waited as long as 45 minutes for the food to be prepared (even though the restaurant was half empty), and while I was waiting there were several arguments between the bartender and another member of staff. Staff arguments in front of guests really spoil the atmosphere and I hope it was just a bad day, an exception. Praise for the food and the size of the portions, but the too long wait and tense atmosphere spoiled the impression.

I went up to the castle near by. I had lunch there. I had their Tuesday special and ordered pork chop with mashed potatoes. It comes with salad and bread all for 7.00 Euros. I had a glass of carbonated water and it costed me less than 8 Euros. The food was served quickly. There are outside seating. Note that each day the daily special is different so you can eat there 5 days without getting tired.

I saw this restaurant on Google. We were driving from Zagreb to Ljubljana and needed a place for lunch. I'm so glad we stopped. The food was excellent. The service from our waiter was extremely friendly and his English was very good. The restaurant is clean and inviting. But the highlight is absolutely the food. It was beyond anything I could have expected. Very good quality meats, cheese, potatoes, mushrooms and bread. So delicious. Everything made locally. It was a joy to eat there.

We discovered Bistro Kovačnica spontaneously, just a short walk through the park from Hotel Lavica – and it turned out to be a real gem! The place immediately feels inviting, with a lovingly designed outdoor area where you can choose between sun or shade. Service was prompt, friendly, and very attentive. The food: classic Croatian grill dishes, simple but excellently prepared – our mixed grill plate was absolutely delicious. Also highly recommended is the Vukovarsko beer, freshly tapped and really tasty. Great value for money. We had a wonderful evening here and will definitely come back next time we visit Samobor.

Excel local restaurant. Reasonably priced, good service and local street food vibes. Definitely recommend! The only thing is the ‘radler’ which they mix the beer with sprite and charged 3.5+3.2= 6.7 euro. It should typically be 4~4.5 euro. The mixed grilled meat dish is a bargain and enough for 2 ppl.

The family always had a fantastic meal there...whatever we ordered. Too bad closed in Sunday! We loved our Sunday lunches there. Advice call ahead and reserve a table. The service was slow, but nice and polite . The food was not so good,we all had the same goulash from wild animals meat, it was edible but the gnocchi as a side dish were plain with no taste, and we're prepared in an wired way. This is not only my opinion since we all left the gnocchi on the plate. The fat and muscle tissue on the meat in goulash should have been removed before cooking, but they weren't . The place is decent by ambient, but the food was a disappointment. Don't know how other dishes are but I certainly wound not recommend the goulash. The beef soup was good but the mushroom soup was bad, tasted like it was made from "instant soup " with additionaly added cooking cream.

I've been here a few times now, and I keep coming back! The kebab box is huge, packed with perfectly seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and delicious sauces. Very good pizza. They serve food late at night and is very good. It was at our table before we knew it. Staff was very welcoming and polite. Indoor siting area is fairly big and when warm you can sit outside. There is enough parking space available around Monnet.

We were looking for a restaurant in Samobor to have Sunday lunch all over the town while this place was right there, in front of us. Food arrived really quickly even though the waiter said they were quite full and busy in the kitchen. All four of us were really happy with the food, great menu, lots of options and prices are normal. Service was very quick all the time to meet our demands. There is paid parking right next to this place but often it is full. Call first just in case they are full.

We went on a weekend without a reservation and got a table after a short wait. The main courses were good and the portions generous, the desserts even better. The value for money was good and the service was friendly, if a little overwhelmed. One star less because we were told that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant, so we put our dog (a Maltese that doesn't shed) on a lead outside the restaurant, while a woman with three large dogs entered the restaurant behind us. After asking again (a another waiter) why our dog had to wait outside the restaurant, the waiter said that if he didn't bark he could go in. Standardized rules would be easier for everyone involved.

My colleague and I decided to go to Samobor on Saturday to the market, see what was there and buy a roasted suckling pig for lunch. We each ordered 2 kg, the waiter said to come and get the meat in 10-15 minutes. We paid for the meat and went home. I took the meat out at home, it was cold, torn and with gnawed bones! THEY PACKED US WITH SOMEONE'S LEFTOVERS! We returned to Samobor and complained. There was a crowd immediately! The young and pimply waiter who was packing the meat shouted that we had long tongues, we asked him to eat it in front of us! They surrounded us and wanted to throw us out of the building. In the end, the owner returned everyone's money and threatened us not to come back and buy from them again. OF COURSE we won't, which we advise others to do
