I have been here multiple times. The food and service have always been great and the view is amazing. However, every time there have been children, usually barefoot, running around and screaming throughout the visit which made enjoying the otherwise delightful meal hard. I encourage the wonderful staff to be stricter.

Overall, we were really satisfied with our order. The octopus was cooked to perfection – incredibly tender and just melting in the mouth. The tuna was maybe a little overcooked for our taste, but it still kept a great flavor and freshness. The portions were surprisingly huge – almost too much to handle, but we managed to enjoy every bite. The restaurant itself has an amazing advantage – it’s located right by the sea. The view while waiting for the food is simply stunning and creates a unique atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot both for a romantic dinner and for meeting up with friends. In short: delicious food, generous portions, and a beautiful seaside location. Definitely worth a visit – highly recommended!

Excellent service and food. The seafood platter for two is a must-try—filled with sea bass, tuna, salmon, mangel, and many other fresh seafood delights. A really good seafood dish collection that showcases the best of the Adriatic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Whether you sit indoors or outside, the atmosphere is equally entertaining and relaxing. Food is simply delicious. Highly recommended!

The food and service leaves a lot to be desired. We were greeted by a bald gentleman with a negative attitude towards us, a bit racist. I ordered a fish soup (not even asked if I want bread), I also ordered risotto with shrimps for 18€, not worth 5€. Even the espresso I ordered sucked. First time in Croatia, I would not come back because of the service, the prices which are way too exaggerated per quality and the food.I prefer Greece with their service of a million and the food brilliant. Here are some marks: food-2, service-1.

We arrived in Zadar without a reservation, and the people there kindly offered to help us find a place to stay – so friendly! Everyone at the restaurant was wonderful and polite. We had lunch there and were amazed by the delicious meat, the tasty salad, and the freshly baked bread. What can I say? Their wines were fantastic, and they even treated us to their own homemade liqueur. It was the best meal we had in Croatia! The place itself was luxurious and spotlessly clean. Definitely worth a stop!

Was recommended as one of the best restaurants in the area but the food was average at best. Wait time >1 hour for the main course, however we were made aware of this in advance. It is possible that the sea products might be decent but the classic meat selection definitely left a lot to be desired, especially considering the above average price, they were listed for. 5/10 overall

Pizzas are good and overall experience was pleasant until the waiter brought the bill. There was cash only. I said I could pay over Revolut or transfer the money directly to their bank account but they did not agree. I had to drive to the neighbor island to ATM to get money and come back to paid them. In 36,5 degrees that was awful. I guess they don’t want to pay taxes that’s why paying with card isn’t possible and they rip us - customer to pay taxes which they are stealing. Even if the food was nice, I’m not returning and I feed bad for the mindset of local restaurants owners that stealing taxes is a virtue.

If you love seafood, try Francesco. Everything we ordered was delicious. A cold starter with tuna tartar, sea bass carpaccio and white fish pate, amazing. Shrimps with home made pasta is probably one of the best plates I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Risotto with shrimps for my wife, fantastic. She was very happy, ate it all even when she couldn’t finish it. My son had spaghetti with tomato sauce, which he really enjoyed. We ate extremely good. I completely recommended Francesco if you are around. As a bonus, there was a very big table with 20 people, maybe more. They started to sing, and the moment was fantastic. A great memory on top of the amazing food.

🍽️ Restaurant Veseljak – A Culinary Gem in Sukošan 🌊 Every time I visit Sukošan, Restaurant Veseljak is at the very top of my list and for good reason. I’ve been coming here for years, and it has never once disappointed. From the moment you step in, the staff makes you feel truly welcome with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, even if it’s your first visit. The food is consistently outstanding, no matter what you order. Over the years, I’ve tried a variety of dishes, seabass filet cooked to perfection, pasta pljukanci with prawns and zucchini bursting with fresh flavors, and a selection of crisp, refreshing salads. Every single plate is prepared with care, using high-quality local ingredients, and the flavors are authentic, balanced, and simply delicious. You can tell that the kitchen here takes pride in what they do. What makes Veseljak even more special is the atmosphere, relaxed yet vibrant, perfect for enjoying a slow dinner by the coast. And of course, no meal is complete without their traditional rakija at the end, a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience feel personal and truly Croatian. For me, Veseljak is not just a restaurant, it’s a tradition. If you are in Sukošan, this is an absolute must-visit dining spot. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a pasta fan, or just looking for a welcoming place with great food and service, Veseljak delivers every single time.

Wonderful konoba! The atmosphere is modern yet feels like home. The food is absolutely delicious – a step ahead of the usual offer. Prices are fair, and they also have a daily menu. Many other taverns charge the same but offer much lower quality, while here everything was excellent. We came twice because it was so tasty and pleasant. Service was on the highest level as well. T

A shocking dining experience evoking the same sensory abuse as the smell in a nursing home waiting room. The french fries are a clever allusion to erectile dysfunction; to compensate, bizarrely, the steak tartare were accompanied by a Himalayan jizz-pile of shaved butter. The tartare itself, meanwhile, was approximately 10% beef and 90% black pepper — to the tongue, this is virtually indistinguishable from eating hot sand. Onto the sea creatures: the fish dishes — kovač filet and fish soup — had a similarly nursing-home feel in that they had the taste and color of fresh corpses. The chef seemingly doesn’t know the difference between grilling and boiling, nor salt and air. Two teaspoons full of salt did little to salvage the soup. Neither did the “focaccia” — a rubbery, over salted sponge of wet flour and regret. The same mysterious focaccia, applied to “bruschetta” but in a hardened, two-day-old state, clung to the teeth settled in the stomach like a wet rock. Foraging for berries or perhaps begging on the street for scraps would’ve made for a more satisfying meal.

We visited Sukošan in early June 2020. The eatery was introduced to us by the owner of our hotel. When asked about recommendations the lady owner responded with “whatever you like!” Well, I like sushi, so I’d like to have sushi if possible? 🤣 We ended up ordering something simple. Verdict - the only likable food was the deep fried fish. The fries were utterly oily and soggy. You know the kind of fries that suck in all the oil in the universe and release it when made contact with your teeth? Yeah, this was that. The Zagreb schnitzel was average. My pasta was literally swimming in butter I couldn’t taste anything else but buttery grease. I swear I caught a glimpse my own reflection in the noodles. 😂 Honestly, we don’t mind paying higher price for good food. But sadly what we had there didn’t come anywhere near good. Two stars for keeping the place clean and decent service.

Konoba Griblja is one of the best Restaurants here in Sukošan if not the best, the menu appears simple but is very well done. The old style of the Building is very nice and contributes to the experience. The staff is discreet and professional. We tried the Tagliatelle with prawns which was very well seasoned and fresh same can be said with the tuna steak and the swiss chard that accompanied it. We also tried the beefsteak with an almond puree which gave the dish a really good sweet and salty dynamic. Overall top notch! Very deserving of its michelin reccomendation! * Also book well in advance we got lucky with a table!

We came here twice in one week. The waitress was perfect: nice, quick, and helpful. The second time, the terrace was full, but she was at our table within a few minutes, and we received our drinks and food very quickly. The food was good too.
