After our first experience, we went for a second time. We made a reservation in advance, which is recommended. First of all the food is just excellent and diverse. Everything is very tasty, I was really surprised how many cuisines they offer a quality dish. From traditional fusion, asian, frish, meat and arab style hummus/falafel. Also vegetarians do have multiple choices here. I really loved the tasty Crispy Tuna, stuffed Chicken and Istrian pasta. ps also keep some space dor the lovely desserts. To summarize, an excellent food experience. The hospitality of the staff is great and they really want to make things comfortable for you as their guest. You can sit in the garden or inside (bad weather). We can really recommend this restaurant. Think you don't find such a quality restaurant in Pula for that price.

I loved eating here, the food is so tasty and so flavorful. My starter was the crispy tuna and it is sooo good, crispy and when you bite, it is like an explosion of amazing flavors in your mouth, just incredible! The waiters pay very good attention to detail while being very warm with you. We ate outside in the garden, which is very cozy and beautiful.

Nice place, but based on our first — and only — experience last week, they seem to try to overcharge customers. We ordered three meals, a coffee, a Coke, a limoncello, a bottle of water, and one glass of wine. When the receipt arrived, although it listed our correct items, it also included several things we never ordered — including an expensive fish dish, a full bottle of wine we didn’t have, and some extra drinks. The total was €260. I complained, but instead of an apology or any reasonable explanation, the manager simply told me to point out the items we hadn’t ordered so he could remove them. They corrected the bill, which then came to €90. I do not appreciate being treated this way, and I strongly recommend checking your bill carefully if you visit this place. I still can’t say for sure whether this was an unintentional mistake or a deliberate attempt to overcharge, but adding €160 to a bill under €100 is hard to miss. If it was a mistake, the least they could have done was offer a sincere apology and show some courtesy.

Very nice restaurant located outside of the city center. The food is amazing and the portions are large. The staff is friendly and helpful. The interior is nicely arranged with a fireplace in the middle. There is big parking in front of the restaurant. I recommend Adriatic squids with home made potatoes. It's pricey though!

Let's go, first I wanted to say that my first trip and I chose this restaurant as my first stop here in Croatia in Pula and I wanted to talk about the atmosphere is extremely cozy, the service wonderful, the food delicious. I ordered a fish soup as a starter. I even recommend it and as a main course a pasta with seafood. To accompany I ordered a white wine and a dessert liqueur, thank you for the excellent service and I hope to return soon.

Went twice in short span, staff service was on the ball, great effort from them. Food was great, selection is pretty wide from pizza to fish and meat dishes. Salads also available.. desserts seasonal which is understandable although maybe an addition of fish platter for two to the menu would be great since we are on the coast. Small oversight from the kitchen staff on the second visit, table for 7 and one meal was missed/ not ready since they read the order wrong (1x instead of 2x) hence 4 stars. Recommend in any case.

A proper konoba done right. The service is genuinely friendly without trying too hard, and the whole place keeps that authentic, local feel—just polished enough to feel a bit upscale, but never losing the charm. The open fireplace where they cook adds a whole extra layer of atmosphere; you smell and see the food being made, and it sets the tone immediately. The meat dishes are the star: perfectly cooked, full of flavour, exactly what you hope for from a konoba that actually knows what it’s doing. If you want great food, warm service, and a place that feels real rather than tourist-designed, this is it. I’d happily come back.

My parents decided to treat my wife and me to dinner for our wedding anniversary, and after they found out that we were planning to go to this restaurant, they called the restaurant and asked us to pay later online for everything we would eat, and the restaurant staff immediately agreed and surprised us upon arrival by explaining that our dinner had been paid for and that they wished us a happy wedding anniversary. Such an approach to guests and trust is not seen every day. Every compliment and recommendation for the restaurant! The food is fantastic, the ambiance is unforgettable, and the service is world-class. Thanks again and we will definitely be back.

I ordered the clam tagliatelle and had no regrets, delicious - but you know what to expect with this dish. I was particularly impressed with the risotto on my brothers plate (vegetarian friendly) as well the portion of salad we got was monster. definitely suggest going here if you’re on holiday or not, it was classy and good atmosphere, accommodating staff… the best was the bowls the dishes were served on:))) we came early evening, there’s plenty of tables but it was getting busier as time passed.

Konoba Ulika is such a gem near Pula! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We started with the fish platter which was absolutely delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared. Don’t miss trying their local olive oil with bread, it’s delicious… but pace yourself because the mains come in huge portions. We couldn’t finish everything, but they kindly wrapped it all up for us and we had a second meal for dinner. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Stara konoba is precisely what you want on the Fažana waterfront. Warm interiors, a proper old-school feel, and an atmosphere that makes you forget your phone exists. We went straight into the classics. Fried calamari and fried girice (sprats); crisp, hot, and clean. Lemon cuts it, tartar finishes it. The potato wedges were exactly right, that golden edge, soft center, no drama. Then the octopus stew showed up and changed the pace. Dark, rich, real. The kind of dish that feels like it has been made a thousand times and finally got it perfect. The house bread deserves its own sentence. Lovely. Soft, warm, and gone fast. Prices felt fair, and the service had character in the best way: sharp, present, and human. Everything we ate was good. This is a place you come back to because it feels like Fažana, not because someone sold you a fantasy.

Our spontaneous visit was a very lucky experience. Instead of the usual tourist trap of a 40-page menu and unconvincing cooking, at Mons we found a wonderful atmosphere with the most welcoming staff and a very convincing concept of presenting local specialities. We had the cevapcici on bread, the spicy sausage, and a selection of salads and grilled vegetables. Everything was presented with pride, grilled with the necessary smoky flavours that are only possible when one takes time and care with the preparation of what is going to be served. The location is ideal, right on the main road, and there is adequate parking in the street behind the restaurant. With drinks and food, our bill came to about 40€.

We stopped in for late lunch. I had something like chicken schnitzel, perfectly cooked, with pomes/fries, very delicious! Husband had a filled beef burger/patty, sandwich with garlicky cheese and with pomes/fries. It was something new for us, the bread was soft and very yummy. The meat, cheese, and raw red onion were a delicious combination.

Really good and tasty food comparing with the other places located in the resort center. Indeed you need to wait more to get your order but this is because it's a family restaurant and they do all the cooking and serving. We avoid this place due to the Google ratings, but after we decided to give it a try we regret it that we didn't went earlier. If you have time and your not in a hurry please give it a try!

The food was homemade and was generally tasty, although don't expect anything too special. Service was amateur as well but I appreciated the work, the waiters were friendly and tries and efforts of selling what they offer were visible. All seemed to be managed as an amateur family business but with effort and love. Great place if you want to get a taste of what Croatian families' weekend grills probably look like.

We first discovered this 15 years ago. At first glance you would just drive straight past. But this is a real gem. It's modernised but kept its traditional feel. It's a fishing harbour canteen. Serving real catch of the day. Great tasting fish served on a bed of potatoes and wilted spinach. Not the only dish but certainly one to note. It might look like a cheap place but it's not. Bottle water is about 30kn. So is beer. But tap water is drinkable, so if you want to budget ask!!

Google Reviews
Here is your restaurant review translated into English: ⸻ My impressions are very mixed. We visited this restaurant twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. The dinner was nice — the waiter was attentive and thorough. One downside was that although we chose a fresh fish for dinner, we were served a larger piece than expected, which we struggled to finish. It was clear the restaurant was trying to increase the bill by selling a more expensive fish. However, since we were very satisfied with the fresh oysters, langoustines, and the recommended wine, we let it slide. The recommended cigar, however, was a disappointment — I should have ignored the suggestion and gone with something I knew. The bill was higher than expected (over €250 for two people), but overall, we were quite happy. The problem came during our second visit. The waiter was very poor — he didn’t bring moist wipes or claw crackers for the langoustines, and when I asked for them, he forgot to bring a fork. He was also aggressively pushing fresh fish, and we chose a plaice. During the filleting, the waiter was clearly inexperienced, and we ended up with fish pieces on our plates that looked like they came from a can. The portion was just enough for two, and I expected the price to be in line with other places (around €60). I was surprised to see that we were charged €126 for that small, messy portion of fish. Their tiramisu (the second worst I’ve had in Fažana) didn’t impress either. When I diplomatically mentioned we didn’t enjoy it, I got a curt response that “it’s different because it’s homemade.” Well, I make homemade tiramisu too — and it’s in a different league. The final bill of €222 for lunch for two (we only had wine by the glass, not a bottle) was both a surprise and a disappointment. In my opinion, this was another fish scam — no prior information about the price, which was completely out of line with the standard. I seriously do not recommend this place.
