We came for a dinner as our host from Jelsa recommended us the place and then we came again, and again as the food, service and climate was simply amazing! That was the best grilled lamb we have ever eaten! Moreover, the service provided by Matko was a pure pleasure to spend the evenings in Konoba Vrisnik. More than that, we loved the wine they served! Thank you for the lovely evenings we spent in your place.

A charming place with a warm, authentic atmosphere in the beautiful village of Dol on Hvar. The octopus under the peka was perfectly tender and juicy, the octopus salad fresh and full of flavor, and the Adriatic squid crispy on the outside and soft inside. The young owner is incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Generous portions and delicious food – we’ll definitely be back next time we’re on Hvar!!!

We had a magical evening with Kornelija and learned much about Croatian farming, and traditional cooking, and the plains that are a UNESCO world heritage site. Kornelija was the consummate host and made us feel immediately at home. Oh and the food was amazing. We rented bikes in Stari Grad and it was an easy 20 min bike ride down a dirt trail with little car traffic.

I run a travel company focusing on design, art & architecture called aēsplore. We have done a brunch cooking experience with Kornelija at Poje recently during our Art & Architecture Hvar Experience. Our guests absolutely loved it. It starts with the warm hospitality from Kornelija - she is a gem! The food was just delicious and the setting how Poje is designed is just on point. Was advised to come here by Klara from Sail Croatia and wasn’t disappointed ❤️ a short walk from the harbour and up a side street you’ll find this hidden gem ❤️ wish we would have researched our links earlier as I’d have loved to order the preorder food. Look at my menu pictures and you’ll see why. So we had to order simples x burger for me and lamb chops for the good lady. Best burger I’ve ever had to be honest, perfectly medium rare and fresh as a daisy 🌼 lamb chops were a well fed lamb as they were succulent and juicy x had a bottle of local red to accompany the food. Waitress was lovely and showed me the fires for traditional cooking. If you visit stari grad this is a must place to eat x

The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly – we felt truly welcome. The food was excellent: delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The entire experience was perfect from start to finish. If you’d like to try the podpeka (which I highly recommend – it’s absolutely amazing!), make sure to book in advance and let them know ahead of time. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! The food is exceptional, with everything made fresh, and the family running the konoba is warm, welcoming, and full of cheer. They even gave us a delightful tour of the kitchen. The octopus is an absolute must-try (just remember to order it a day in advance). This spot is a non-negotiable stop when visiting Hvar. The road to the konoba is well-maintained and suitable for any vehicle, so getting there is a breeze. The hilltop view is breathtaking, and with only 30 guests served per night, the atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and truly magical. Be sure to make a reservation, as it’s a small, exclusive setting. We loved it so much we returned twice during our vacation. A huge thank you to the wonderful family in charge for making it such a memorable experience!

A nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was good and served quickly – just a solid Dalmatian restaurant. We would recommend sticking to the fish dishes. From the meat options, we tried the mixed grill and a T-bone steak – unfortunately, the meat was quite chewy and the steak, ordered medium rare, came out well done. What really deserves a highlight, though, is the waiter – such a kind person, helpful with recommendations, clear explanations, and he even brought water for our dog. The place was okay, the food was okay, but the service made the difference.

We ate here tonight, our last night in Stari Grad. The food was delicious, the waitress Mia was great, so helpful and I ordered her recommended local dish Brudet. It was incredibly delicious, the freshest locally sourced fish in a wine and Mediterranean sauce. We also had a starter that is local to Stari Grad called Starogrojska pogača. So good! When you're in Stari Grad, check this place out. We would highly recommend it!!

Very basic hotel. Rooms small, outdated but clean. Beds not really comfortable. Generally food is not tasty, but you can find something a bit better among different foods. Wifi signal and speed is very bad but free. Personnel are kind. Place fells safe. Hotels beach is pretty ok and sea is crystal clean with good visibility for snorkeling. Hotel has also a fresh water swimming pool which is ok. There is a nice walkway to the city center of Stari Grad. Not the best hotel but it is cheap, budget hotel.

The map show the wrong location. It is Hotel Arcadia. The real Lavanda is 600m away and a run down socialist block house with 30 years old furniture and no air condotioning or fride with a 12" crt tv.
