Good and large meal. Been second time here and it is getting better and better. The menu 25euro but really fabulous. Starter soup mushroom...whaoo Gnochi and soft meat...superb...desert strwberry sponge cake fabulous. It is now a high level restaurant....top class

Tasty generous portions at reasonable prices . The daily special of calamari was perfectly cooked in a light batter- not the slightest bit of grease with excellent flavor. The photo only shows half of the Caprese salad. It was so good that I initially forgot to take a photo. The bread was fresh and chewy. The owner was very solicitous. He offered a menu on an IPad with language choices. Would heartily recommend!

We had dinner for two at Batak Grill and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The service was top-notch — our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was outstanding, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is truly exceptional, with a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Overall, a perfect spot for a great meal and a wonderful evening. Highly recommended!

Klemen here — we stopped at **Konoba Bonaca** in Zaprešić (easy drive from Brežice) with 4 adults and 2 kids, looking for some Croatian seafood. It's a cozy, rustic konoba with wooden tables that seated us comfortably, warm indoor lighting, and a relaxed atmosphere. Atmosphere & family-friendliness: Plenty of space for our group of 6, noise level was comfortable for the kids. Staff were friendly and patient with the children—no issues. No highchairs or play area, but it felt welcoming. Service: Attentive, food came out reasonably quickly, good English communication—no complaints. Food: We ordered fried squid, stuffed squid, fries, and octopus salad. The squid (both fried and stuffed) was good—tasty and fresh. The octopus salad was solid too: fresh ingredients, nice flavors. Portions felt a bit small for 6 people (especially the adults), and the fries were undercooked/raw and starchy inside (clear in the photos—golden outside but uncooked potato core). For the squid + fries combo around 17.5 €, you'd expect properly fried, crispy fries—not this half-done disappointment. At the price we paid, basics like that should be reliable. Value: We paid 170 € total (including drinks). The seafood was decent quality, but small portions and the fries issue made it feel uneven compared to similar places. Honestly, there are better options nearby—like **Number One** in Zaprešić—which offers stronger value for fried calamari and overall what you get/pay: bigger portions, more consistent sides, and better bang for your buck without the quality slips. Practical notes: Free parking, easy access. Book ahead for groups. Clean toilets. Early evening best with kids. Recommendation: Okay for a quick seafood fix, but for families or groups wanting reliable, hearty fried calamari and good value, skip this one and head to Number One instead. **3.5/5 stars**. The squid had its moments, but the small portions, raw fries, and overall cost left us thinking we could do better locally—especially with kids who need filling food.

Amazing place with great seafood menu (and meat), very cozy and friendly and polite staff. It is better to book in advance to be sure that you get the table. Many thanks to our attentive Dora, who was very kind to us during our visit. Definitely recommend and hopefully to come back again !

Inedible. Not authentic. Overall flavor was unpleasant. Sauces and guacamole are from jars. Confused why the coleslaw and why mayonnaise and mustard were used so heavily/and at all. You definitely shouldn’t find them in an enchilada…which is what I ordered. Also, I had a difficult time finding the chicken in my meal but it appeared to be small pieces shaved from a Turkish kebab. I hate to give bad reviews, especially when it’s a brave new venture…but in this case it’s warranted . Too many people trying to open foreign cuisine restaurants that are miles away from authentic. Customers who know what is should taste like don’t return & those who experience it for the first time believe they don’t like (in this case) Mexican food…when another business opens, they close bc not enough people are willing to try again. And just a side note, it’s laughable to try and trick us into believing that parsley is cilantro.

The food is amazing and I absolutely love thr flavours and the seasoning they have. I really hope this restaurant succeeds because Zaprešić needs something different. The staff and the owner is amazing, really polite and nice. I like the atmosphere even tho the music is sometimes too loud but that is okay. I rateded it 4/5 because the food portion is too small for the price, but overall a really good restaurant!! I wish you guys the best of luck, much love. ❤️💞

One of Zaprešić’s best kept secrets… a true hidden gem. Excellent restaurant with delicious food and great service. The atmosphere is wonderful and the quality of meals is amazing: large selection to choose from, everything is very well made and scrumptious, and the portion sizes are ideal (huge) usually with some leftovers to take home to enjoy later. Well worth a visit, or regular visits as in our case.

I almost never give five stars for anything, but this was an experience worth six stars. Both me and my wife had a great time, food is sublime, the service is amazing, and the overall atmosphere in the restaurant felt cozy and like home. We are definitely coming again.

The food here is incredible; super fresh, delicious and the price is surprisingly low - I can especially recommend the Salmon Salad! The service is amazing as well - our server Ivan was very attentive and professional, he made sure we were satisfied at all times. This is the perfect place to stop by if you're hungry and driving by on the motorway :)

Been in Westgate Batak and food was great but service on top top level from very first entering until our leave. Underline especially young waiter Ivana, and her kindness was better then perfect !!! Compliments to manager who trained their staff on this level.

We had a small wedding in the villa. It was absolutely wonderful! The hosts are welcoming and even helped with the organization of the event, suggested some good caterers nearby. The dining area was the perfect location for a small wedding, with lots of space outside to sit in the shade and the kids to have fun. Also, the villa was luxurious, beautiful and a great place to unwind after a long night of dancing and festivities. Could not be happier how things turned out! Would recommend the villa to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience at the equestrian club. Sitting on the terrace, taking in the view of the beautiful park, nature, and horses was simply amazing. Everything was neatly arranged and prepared, adding to the overall experience. The restaurant offered a wide range of food choices, catering even to vegetarians. The menu items were interesting and well-curated. The freshness of the food stood out immediately. Although we waited a short while for our meals, it was evident that this was because everything was freshly prepared. When the food arrived, it was warm and delicious, affirming its freshness. Service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive and friendly, enhancing our dining experience. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we are in the area.

Good food, with a few hick-ups (like dry duck breast and the requested medium rare ending up being medium well done) it was a worthy gastronomy experience. The service is borderline terrible though. Waiters have no idea what service in a fine elegant restaurant should be like. No one met us at the door cause everyone was busy running around, we were bounced three times to finally find the person who knew where our booked table was. Dishes were not served simultaneously for all guests at the table, and the wine was brought late and just left next to our table so we were helping ourselves. When I pointed this out to our waiter he basically blamed the kitchen for not serving the course at the same time. What??? Lovely place overall, beautiful horses walking around, interior is simple and elegant (although the terrace is a bit dilapidated, for a restaurant like this one it should be better equipped). Only one high chair for children for a place popular with locals for family celebrations is also strange.

Hearty portions of very good authentic food in a variety of nice rustic spaces. Big portions at very reasonable prices. The menu is pretty substantial and offers quite a variety of choices. Inside areas are air conditioned for convenience. All around very nice experience and worth a trip from Zagreb into the countryside.

Food standard, kinda big branch of a restaurant So if You have been in the one same is in the other. Food diversity would be good, atleast salads are fresh. Meat is not fresh, meening been prepared some where else and then delivered to the restaurant. That goes most for minced meat which has that sour frozen taste.
